As a neurosurgeon for more than 40 years, Dr. Bernie Stopak of Potomac performed hundreds of surgeries on the brain. Now, at age 75, his latest "operation" is related more to the heart. His newly released CD is a personal and intimate song collection reflecting his own journey through the intricacies and emotions of love and relationships. This CD is titled "Operation Love."

Since opening this past year, En Bistro and Sushi has impressed the Potomac community with its fresh sushi and sashimi, served in a manner that resembles a piece of fine art, instead of a dinner entrée. The small restaurant, located behind the Verizon store and next to Tally Ho in the Potomac Village Shopping Center is a Japanese bistro, complete with a kimono, once owned by a Japanese movie actor. The kimono was sent to owner Billy Ye by his mother many years ago — and he has been waiting to find the just right spot for hanging it.
Benny’s Bar and Grill To Open
New restaurant promises “Best Drink in Town.”
Potomac entrepreneur Benson Fischer will soon be revealing a new concept in dining and entertainment to open this spring in the Cabin John Shopping Center. Benny’s Bar and Grill, debuting in the former Popeye’s location, has been remodeled, expanded and retrofitted into a 240-seat restaurant. Fischer has designed the eatery, resplendent with comfortable leather booths, stonework, retro tin ceilings, open-air seating and a two-sided bar with the latest in mixology machines.
